An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Clinical Educator(s). We are a diverse and knowledgeable team of Practice Education Facilitators, Clinical Educators, Assistant Clinical Educators and administrators, who are committed to enhancing healthcare delivery through education and staff development.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated nurse who can work autonomously, be flexible and show resilience in their approach and have excellent organisational and leadership skills.

You will be required to work clinically alongside our newly recruited international nurses, facilitating their learning of new skills and knowledge and providing pastoral care. Working with ward and department managers you will promote a positive learning environment.

As a minimum, you need to be a registered nurse who is confident in a range of clinical skills. You will also need to be aware of national and local initiatives or drivers that influence education and governance.

Main duties of the job

Working clinically alongside newly recruited registered nurses to support the application of knowledge to practice, supporting the development of both confidence and competence within the clinical setting.

Providing pastoral care support to newly recruited international nursing colleagues.

The role is challenging but rewarding and requires an individual who acts as a positive role model at all times, motivating and supporting staff in their professional development.

The Trusts Clinical Education Teams won the Wingman Team Care and Support Award at the Trusts Thank You Awards 2023. The award was in recognition that the team consistently went out of their way to support their colleagues throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and encouraged others to follow their lead, supporting the emotional and physical health and wellbeing of their colleagues. The teams are multiprofessional with exceptional skills, knowledge and diverse experience.

The post holder will predominantly be based at Warrington site but will provide support across all sites. We are three hospitals, two sites, one great team!
