Job summary
We are currently recruiting a Band 5 Paediatric nurse, to work within our Paediatric Emergency Department. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual committed to excellent patient experience and care, to join our team.
We have a 24 hour paediatric ED, located within the main adult ED department.
We encourage staff to develop both clinically and managerially and we provide a comprehensive induction program, preceptorship and in-house training.

Main duties of the job
- The post holder has a general duty of care for their own health, safety and well-being and that of work colleagues, visitors and patients within the hospital, in addition to any specific risk management or clinical governance accountabilities associated with this post.
- To be responsible, with management support, for their own personal development and to actively contribute to the development of colleagues
- To observe the rules, policies, procedures and standards of WHH Foundation Trust together with all relevant statutory and professional obligations.
- To support the department and organisation by carrying out any other duties that reasonably fit within the broad scope of a job of this grade and type of work.
- To work effectively and efficiently within the framework of team nursing and individualised patient care
- In collaboration with the department integrated multidisciplinary team to develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for patients
- To contribute towards developing and maintain a suitable and stimulating learning and environment
