Position Details:
- Role: Paediatric Emergency Clinical Fellow
- Duration: Fixed-term 1-year contract, with opportunities to extend
- Hours: As per Departmental needs, will include dayshifts, late-shifts and night shifts.
- Requirements: Applicants must be GMC-registered and have completed UK Foundation training, with some experience in Emergency Medicine. A keen interest in advancing your clinical and practical skills within a supportive team environment is essential.
Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Emergency Medicine at Warrington, you'll have the opportunity to take on a variety of clinical roles, including:
Clinical assessment and management of patients attending the Emergency Department.
Working for the majority in the Paediatric ED, with some cross cover overnight on the adult side.
Develop emergency care skills and procedures required for ED clinicians
You'll also have non clinical time to develop a specialist interest in paediatric emergency management. There will also be scope for research, quality improvement, education and leadership development within that specialty. This will be discussed with the ED team on your appointment to post and you will have an opportunity to tailor your specialist activities with your supervisor.
