Job summary
We are seeking
applications for a substantive consultant ENT surgeon with a
special interest in the Otology and/or Head and Neck.
The
department are committed to learning and development of surgical trainees and
middle grade doctors and teaching will be part of the role.
There
is a robust clinical audit programme which is multi-disciplinary and occurs once
per month and the post holder will be expected to lead clinical audits.
Main duties of the job
The main duties
of this role include independent management of all patients under your care, in
particular your area of sub specialism. This includes independent surgical
management of your caseload.
The
post holder will be expected to join the on call rota which is 1:3 (prospective
cover) for weekdays and evenings and 1:10 for weekends which is a regional on
call.
About us
The ENT
department undertake outpatient clinics and elective theatre lists at
Warrington and Halton Hospitals. There are allocate theatre sessions on both
sites.
There
are close links with the audiology team and specialist nurses.
The
team are currently undertaking a outpatient transformation project to redesign
pathways and processes working with the wider ENT and outpatient teams.
Visits to the unit are encouraged and
will be arranged for prospective candidates.
