Job summary
We are looking for a qualified Sonographer to join our amazing team!
We are an extremely positive and forward thinking department performing all aspects of clinical Ultrasound, including Obstetrics, General, Gynaecology, Vascular, Necks, Baby Hips and MSK. We rotate through our Gynaecology clinics, Fetal Medicine and Early Pregnancy unit with whom we have a very close working relationship. We are a highly skilled and friendly team of 29 Sonographers, which includes Sonographers, Midwife Sonographers and Vascular Scientists, who perform and report a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
The successful applicant will assist to maintain our efficient US service across the Warrington and Halton sites to include Warrington Hospital, Nightingale Building (formerly Halton General Hospital), Captain Sir Tom Moore Building and our community site at the Halton Health Hub in Runcorn Shopping City.
You will be a Sonographer with an Ultrasound qualification to PgC / PGDip or equivalent in one or more of General, Obstetrics and Gynaecology scanning.
Main duties of the job
You will join a supportive, friendly and exceptional team of sonographers.
You must be able to demonstrate initiative and prioritise a complex workload whilst working both as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multidisciplinary team. The right candidate will have strong organisational skills, ability to use own initiative and work under pressure, as well as excellent communication skills to deal appropriately with complex, sensitive, or contentious issues with patients and colleagues of all grades.
