Job summary
The role will cover all duties and
responsibilities expected of a band 6 Mammographer. These
duties will cover 4 static screening/symptomatic sites to include Halton
Hospital, Warrington Hospital, St Helen’s Hospital Burney Breast Unit and Bath
Street Health Centre. We also have a mobile breast screening unit which visits
5 sites within the area.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will be actively involved
in the National Breast Screening Programme along with our symptomatic breast
service, family history service and our surveillance service. The successful
candidate will also be part of new developments and innovations within the speciality
of mammography.

We are looking for qualified and trained mammographers
who
are interested in working with an excited and dynamic team in a brand-new state
of the art department. You will be part of a highly professional, friendly team
in our Breast Care Centre, at Captain Sir Tom Moore.
We are at an exciting phase in our development. We
have recently moved into our brand-new Breast Care Centre at the Captain Sir
Tom Moore building at Halton hospital, Runcorn. Our centre consists of 2
Mammography rooms, both with 3D imaging and Stereotactic facilities, 2
Ultrasound rooms and 3 clinic rooms. With plans to expand our Bath Street site
early 2023.
