Job summary
Halton Hospital are recruiting band 5 staff to work in our purpose-built elective service based at Halton Hospitals in Runcorn and we are seeking motivated and caring individuals who share our mission to be "outstanding for our patients, our communities and each other". We welcome applications from experienced or newly qualified ODP's and RGN's or applicants due to qualify in 2025
A successful applicant would be based at the Halton /Cstm site. You will be required to care for the patient throughout the perioperative journey ideally working in 2 of the areas of anaesthetics, scrub and recovery.
Main duties of the job
All applicants will be expected to possess excellent communication and team working qualities with a willingness to learn new skills. You should be forward thinking and passionate about providing a high standard of care. Practitioners will be team players with a flexible attitude to the service requirements, and a defined awareness of the importance of service delivery. We welcome individuals who have an enthusiastic approach to teaching students and junior members of staff.
In return for your dedication and enthusiasm, we offer a fully supported preceptorship and core competency programme, championed by our perioperative practice education team. Continuing Professional Development is available via both in-house and university-based training initiatives such as Advanced Life Support with regular CPD reviews to support progress. We are an elective site with 7 theatres, 4 with laminar flow providing a high standard of clean air quality for patients and staff. A new theatre is currently being built on the Nightingale site and we have 2 treatment rooms. We perform a wide range of surgery including:
Urology
Breast
General Surgery
Gynaecology
ENT
Pain Management Service
Laser Vein Surgery
At Halton /Cstm Theatres we work full time hours over 4 weekday shifts and staff are expected to care the patient during their perioperative journey
