As an Apprentice at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the postholder will complete a Level 4 Data Analyst qualification and will develop the skills and knowledge detailed above. The postholder will be allocated time to achieve the award and will be expected to attend weekly study sessions with a local training provider.

This post does not qualify for Tier 2 Certificate of sponsorship.

Previous applicants need not apply.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with the Principal and Senior Information Analysts you will support the delivery of the Information Strategy, possess an understanding and awareness of the National NHS reporting requirements, NHS Data Standards and Definitions, information data flows and benchmarking. Being responsible for ensuring the day-to-day delivery of the statutory reporting function you will have previous experience of working flexibly, under pressured conditions, and be adaptable to changing requirements and deadlines.

You should have the ability to produce intelligence derived from a range of data collected via Trust systems held locally and deliver succinct reporting that supports stakeholder requirements that may be used for service delivery, service improvement, business planning and commissioning. You will possess good technical, analytical, communication and organisational skills with a flair for improvement.

Candidates should be educated to Degree level or have equivalent experience. Knowledge of a wide range of NHS Hospital Based Systems, SQL and Microsoft Reporting Services is desirable.
