Job summary

The post holder will form part of the Switchboard team, contracted to work 16 hours per week. Working various shifts to cover a busy hospital switchboard. The Switchboard service operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking 2x part time Telephonists to become part of a fast-paced dynamic Switchboard team. The post holders will be responsible for operating the hospital switchboard answering all incoming and outgoing calls in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities involving all associated procedures within the Switchboard environment, responding to all emergency calls and alarms whilst remaining calm, concise, and polite under pressure. The post holder will be required to perform in an environment where the work pattern is unpredictable and be compliant in demonstrating flexibility and availability to work extra hours to cover for annual leave and sickness.

About us

The Trusts Switchboard team provides a vital service to staff, patients and their relatives and provide a professional customer service 24/7 365 days a year. In house training will be provided to deal with all aspects of Switchboard duties.
