Job summary

The role of the HCA is to assist the Registered Nurse in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. The post holder will be required to work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the individual needs of patients and their families.

Main duties of the job

the post holder is responsible for carrying out assigned tasks involving direct patient care in support of and supervised by an Assistant Practitioner/Registered Nurse, maintaining a high standard of quality patient care and staff morale through personal example, good conduct and appearance.

The post holder is expected to work over a 7 day week covering long days and nights.
