Key Details:
- Position: Emergency Medicine Consultant
- Hours: 10-12 PAs (we are flexible and open to part-time applications)
- Requirements: Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or CESR by the time of interview.
We welcome applications from candidates with a special interest in areas such as resuscitation, ultrasound, anaesthetics, critical care, paediatrics, ambulatory care, palliative care, research, simulation or medical education.
Main duties of the job
As a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Warrington, you'll have the opportunity to take on a variety of clinical roles, including:
- Emergency Practitioner in Charge (EPIC): Working closely with our Nurse Co-ordinator to lead departmental flow and decision-making for the entirety of the Emergency Department.
- Senior Doctor at Triage (SDAT)/Rapid Assessment Triage (RAT): Assessing all patients arriving via Triage.
- Resuscitation Response: Leading care for critically ill patients in our two resuscitation areas.
- Paediatric Emergency Department: Working within our dedicated Paediatric Emergency Department to deliver high-quality care to the children of Warrington and Halton
- Ambulatory Care & Urgent Care Advice: Providing expert guidance to our GP colleagues or resident clinicians in our Ambulatory Care area or telephone advice to Halton Urgent Care Centre.
