Job summary
We are delighted to offer this new post to join a well-established team providing diabetes and endocrine services across Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals. We are looking to recruit a full time substantive Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology to deliver inpatient and outpatient services along with clinical sessions devoted to General and Acute Medicine. The successful candidate will join a team who have a strong ethos of medical education and will contribute to further development of all the team.
Main duties of the job
The role will include a mix of specialty clinic sessions, ward round and acute admissions work. Dedicated administration and SPA will be included in the job plan. There is an opportunity to expand and deliver a a specialist service including Insulin Pump Clinic, Medical Disorders of Pregnancy, Young Adult/Transitional Diabetic or Diabetic Foot Clinics. Endocrinology Clinics will also be included. The role also incorporates participation on the General Medical On-Call Rota.
