Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Business Administrator to join the Clinical Gender Specialist Team at the West of England Specialist Gender Identity Clinic (WESGIC).
This is a key role, supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care through effective administrative oversight and team coordination.
As Business Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and supervision of the administrative team supporting the Clinical Gender Specialists.
our role will include managing workflows, ensuring timely and accurate processing of clinical correspondence, appointment scheduling, and data entry across key systems. You will act as the first point of contact for administrative queries, working closely with clinical colleagues to ensure seamless support to patients throughout their journey.

Main duties of the job
Team Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership, support, and day-to-day management of a team of administrators, ensuring workload is distributed effectively.
Administrative Oversight: Oversee patient records, appointment scheduling, and correspondence handling.
Process Improvement: Develop and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery within the team.
Compliance and Confidentiality: Ensure all administrative processes comply with Trust standards and guidelines.
Liaison and Communication: Act as a key point of contact between Business Support Administrators, the Clinical Gender Specialist Team, external providers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
Staff Development: Support recruitment, training, and ongoing development of Business Support Administrators, providing guidance and supervision as required.
