Job summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Business Administrator to join our friendly team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth-running of medical administration, supporting the Medical Team, and enhancing patient care through efficient processes.As part of this role, you will take on team leader responsibilities for a team of Medical Support Administrators.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, and we would welcome applications from existing members of Devon Partnership Trust who may be interested in this role as a secondment opportunity.

Main duties of the job
- Team Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership, support, and day-to-day management of a team of medical administrators, ensuring workload is distributed effectively.
- Administrative Oversight: Oversee patient records, appointment scheduling, and correspondence handling.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery within the team.
- Compliance and Confidentiality: Ensure all administrative processes comply with Trust standards and guidelines.
- Liaison and Communication: Act as a key point of contact between Medical Support Administrators, the Medical Team, external providers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
- Staff Development: Support recruitment, training, and ongoing development of Medical Support Administrators, providing guidance and supervision as required.
