Join our recruitment team and you will be involved in a wide range of recruitment activities from offers of appointment, undertaking pre-employment checks, liaising with candidates and recruiting managers and generating contracts of employment. You will frequently be the first point of contact for candidates and recruiting managers which will require both face-to-face and over the phone contact. You will act as the main link for recruitment to our newly built Learning Disability and Autism Unit (LDA) and will be involved in supporting ourWidening Participation team in planning and organising recruitment events.

You will conduct ID checks with applicants face to face as well as taking general enquiries; therefore you will need to be an excellent communicator who takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

You will also play a role in supporting recruitment events and recruitment campaigns which are held throughout the year

The Recruitment Team is part of the Workforce Directorate and is responsible for managing recruitment within Devon Partnership NHS Trust.

This is a 12 month fixed term full time role working Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 (Flexible). There may be the requirement to be available for the odd weekend to support a recruitment event.

The working base will be Wonford House in Exeter although this will be mixed with home working and travel to Dawlish / Teignmouth and other local career events.

Main duties of the job

You will have experience of working in a team, providing administrative expertise and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills. The role is busy and you will often work under pressure and to tight deadlines, so we expect that you will be self-motivated, confident and be able to work independently, as well as working as part of a team.

You will need to have the ability to multi-task, organise and prioritise a frequently interrupted workload, embracing the challenge of working in a demanding and busy environment.

As a team we support one another to focus on finding solutions to some of the challenges we face and ensure that our work is of a high standard. Your role is key to the success of the team and you will be able to demonstrate strong communication skills with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Working with the Widening Participation team you will help plan organise and support recruitment events and then follow up with candidates and act as the focal contact point for follow up queries around the recruitment process.

If you are looking for a new and exciting challenge with the opportunity to contribute to this successful high performing team we would like to hear from you.
