We are seeking to recruit to two roles one in our Mood and Relationships Service, based in Exeter and the other in our Urgent Care Pathway, with a choice of bases across Devon.

We would welcome applications from both qualified Family Therapists and from those with intermediate qualification who are interested to complete the MSC Family Therapy qualification. In this scenario you would be employed on a Band 6 Trainee Family Therapist contract whilst you are training and then move into a Band 7 Family Therapist role upon achieving the qualification.

Main duties of the job

Interviews will be held on June 27th and July 5th.

To provide specialist systemic assessments and evidence-based systemic therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents and their families.

Within this role the post holder will:-

Hold an appropriate caseload and undertake a key worker role for children with complex needs in the community.

Undertake assessments, including risk assessments, contribute to care planning and deliver evidence-based interventions in collaboration with children, young people and their carers.

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team offering evidence-based interventions.

Work across pathways and geographical areas as required, according to need and demand.

Ensure clinical effectiveness through the use of evidence-based interventions, goal based, collaborative practice and routine outcome measures.

Undertake further training to qualify as a Systemic Psychotherapist, leading to registration with AFT (Association of Family Therapy) when qualified

CFHD provides integrated care and treatment for children and young people across physical and mental health. We are working closely with other organisations and providers to ensure we deliver locality and county-wide based integrated access to all of our services, based on the i-Thrive Framework, in response to consultation with our service users and communities.

CFHD works closely with our local universities of Plymouth, Exeter & the Peninsula Medical School where we support students in clinical training placements and in addition support our own staff to undertake post graduate training.

Our integrated care and treatment has been developed and refined in partnership with children, young people and their families/carers.
