Job summary
This is an exciting time at Devon Partnership Trust where we have recently implemented a new clinical system. This is a huge digital transformation of how the Devon Partnership Trust works to support patient care. A key part of the new clinical system programme is reporting and transforming our information provision.
The Data and Analytics team has big ambitions to enhance our use of data to support patient care. We want to harness the opportunity to influence improvements in mental health and learning disability care across the Devon integrated Care System.
This post will be primarily be working with our national data submissions, a crucial part of our data and analytics service, with opportunities to continue to develop your career in data and analytics.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be a motivated team member who has a range of experience in coding with SQL, R or Python alongside being comfortable with Excel and Power BI. It is a fantastic opportunity to work with an experienced and friendly team helping shape the future of how we work with data.
The role involves:
- Working with the information manager to produce information on a regular report schedule to ensure the submission of national datasets
- Using skills in SQL, R and Python to develop and enhance the current and new reporting
- Communicating complex information to enable stakeholders, overcoming barriers to understanding
- Being familiar with rationale and usage of KPIs, using and maintaining the KPI register and ensuring this aligns with national standards
- Analyse, investigate and resolve complex data queries where there are a range of solutions working alongside the clinical systems team
- Cascade specialist knowledge of the national data set and understanding of the new clinical system to the wider Data and Analytics team
