About TALKWORKS:

TALKWORKS is Devons NHS Talking Therapies Service, a service that is part of Devon Partnership NHS Trust. TALKWORKS has approximately 300 staff. The teams are made up of qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners and Psychological Therapists, who are supported by our experienced administration teams.

TALKWORKS has twelve teams, with a number of bases across the county where we are able to see people locally in a wide range of settings including; GP Surgeries, hospitals, community and childrens centres.

TALKWORKS ethos is to work compassionately and empathetically with people who are experiencing mild to moderate anxiety or depression, to truly understand how people are feeling and offer them a choice of therapy options and coping strategies to help people to feel happier and get their life back on track.

Main duties of the job

What we are looking for:

Personal experience of using TALKWORKS to overcome anxiety / and or depression

Somebody who is comfortable sharing their own experience and journey to recovery

A genuine interest in working with people from all walks of life as you will be required to interact with a wide range of people

Having a positive outlook and being non-judgemental is essential as you will be working alongside people who are on their journey to getting their life back on track

Confidentiality is incredibly important and we ask volunteers to be a part of the team and to adhere to information governance policy and procedure

  • Assisting staff at marketing events [e.g. agricultural shows; Pride and BME events]
  • Seeking testimonials
  • Posting pre-written content supplied by the Marketing Specialist on local Facebook community groups
  • Modelling for photo shoots and videos.

Administrative:

  • Helping out with data entry on IAPTUS e.g. entering paper copies of MDS from in-person workshops
  • Contacting clients on WS3 to confirm that they are still on the waiting list and to check if details have changed
  • Completing admin tasks like emailing MS Teams links for groups
