This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant multidisciplinary team based at Evergreen House Exeter.This post will be based in Exeter CAMHS, with additional sessions in North Devon, working with many consultants across a number of pathways. Therell be opportunities for the candidate to develop / pursue their special interest, and provide medical leadership in an area of expertise, e.g. Eating Disorders, Neurodevelopmental disorder, Developmental Trauma etc.

Develop your special interest and psychiatry practice while having the best of what Devon offers. We welcome candidates wishing to work less than full time.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for highly motivated and committed individuals, who can help us make a real difference in the lives of young people and their families, who can be part of a team and who can bring enthusiasm and developments into clinical practice. As aTrust, we are fully signed up to the SAS Charter.

Candidates will be joining a CQC rated Good service, with a strong and established workforce of 15 Child Psychiatrists in Devon and Torbay. The service is particularly interested in modelling the job in line with the successful candidates special interest and working preference. Devon CAMHS is part of a wider Integrated service within Children and Family Health Devon, delivering a range of health, social and education services for children and young people. We are a large and progressive CAMH service which values diversity. We are committed to continual service improvement, participation and the use of routine outcome measures to inform our practice. The service model aims to actively promote prevention, early intervention and opportunities for children, young people and their families to build resilience and to stay well, whilst also providing evidence based, outcomes focussed interventions to enable children to recover, to maintain their best quality of life and to reach their potential.

  • MB BS or equivalent.
  • GMC registration.

Desirable

  • Membership or Affiliateship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
