Job summary
The post holder will work within the Trusts various wards and departments to carry out a range of duties associated with the provision of cleaning, food service and other patient support activities.
The successful applicant will be provided with full training, regular supervision, learning & development, plus a competitive salary which includes enhanced rates of pay for Public Holidays, & an excellent Pension package.
It will be your job to ensure that every person using Devon Partnership Trusts Services enjoy a safe, clean & comfortable environment that supports thier recovery.
Main duties of the job
- Cleaning duties within the allocated department of work and associated areas in accordance with the departmental cleaning schedule, National Cleaning Standards and including specialist cleaning as required by infection control.
- Checking equipment to be used and displaying warning signs to comply with the health and safety regulations.
- Ensuring correct waste segregation disposal procedures in accordance with the Trust policy.
- Regeneration and serving of food, beverage preparation and associated duties.
- Distribution and collection of linen to wards and departments and associated laundry duties.
- Completion of Trust departmental paperwork in accordance with standing instructions.
- Assistance with Health, Safety, Hygiene and monitoring checks/audits.
- To observe Food Hygiene Legislation, hospital and client policies and procedures at all times, reporting any faults, defects or operational issues to Supervisor/Manager/Client representative.
- Engagement with all training programmes/courses relevant to the role.
