Job summary

The band 5 Recruitment Officer role is crucial in organising the operational work being carried out by the recruitment coordinators and to ensure the smooth running of the recruitment process.

Recruitment activity has increased across the Trust as we continue to fill all our vacant posts via individual recruitment episodes and campaigns. This has resulted in increased workloads in terms of volume of work, queries and salary enquiries. The operation recruitment process also ensures that DBS risk assessments and salary exceptions are completed and processed for approval in a timely way.

This role will offer support to the band 4 coordinators, organise the workload and ensure that processes are running smoothly and in a timely manner.

Main duties of the job

1. Provide operational advice, support and assistance to the Recruitment Coordinators and to serve as the first point of escalation for recruitment queries or problems and policy interpretation issues, providing guidance and intervention when needed to resolve these

2. Be willing to deputise for Recruitment Team Leaders in service meetings

3. Act as a proactive team member ensuring recruitment activities are carried out in a timely manner, meeting internal quality standards and KPIs, relevant national frameworks and legal requirements

4. Planning and facilitating local induction of new recruitment team members and ensuring training needs are met

5. Promote and ensure a high level of professionalism in the department, including tidy workspaces and adherence to information governance, data protection and confidentiality policies

6. To support the Resourcing Management Team in the delivery of the Trust's requirements
