Job summary
We are currently seeking experienced Support Time and Recovery (STar) Workers to join our Bank Bureau within the Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, to work on a Bank Contract, based in Stevenage.
STaR workers are needed to manage an additional caseload which had been allocated to 3 STaR worker all off sick with stress and mental health related to work. STaR worker have moved to hub & spoke model on 1st September holding their own smaller caseloads of task focused, practical pieces of work related to social care needs and assertive engagement.
There is a clinical need to ensure social care needs are met and assertive engagement can continue to be offered. This may require joint visits alongside care coordinators. All service users in PATH are on the CPA care level and this particular cohort of service users has a higher-than-average acuity that requires close clinical oversight to ensure safe interventions are delivered to maintain service users within the community.
Main duties of the job
Job Summary:
To work as part of a team which provides mental health services to those experiencing their first episode of psychosis.
o To focus directly the on the needs of service users giving support to care co-ordinator - in the hub and spoke model STaR workers have a specialist 'spoke' role and will be asked to focus specifically on either carer support, social care/housing/assertive engagement, physical health using the Support Time and Recovery (STaR) Model.
o To work across service and/or care group boundaries as necessary.
o To work closely in association with the Team Leader, other senior staff and other agencies, to help maximise the quality and quantity of STR services within available resources.
o To work within the Care Programme Approach / Care Management process with a focus on Recovery Principles.
o To provide support, give time and thus promote recovery.
