Job summary
The Mental Health Urgent Care Centre will operate with an enhanced specialist multidisciplinary team, focusing on improving the experience and outcomes for service users, carers, and staff, alongside supporting acute colleagues in the system by enabling the acute hospital to operate and improve ED performance and quality of care.
The service will operate 24/7 and will be a multi-disciplinary, cross sector service that is practitioner-led and supported by social care, voluntary sector partners and Lived Experience Workers.
Shifts will be a combination of early lates and nights (including all bank holidays). Example shifts:
8.30am - 4.30pm
1.30pm - 9.30pm
9pm - 9am
or long days 8.30am - 9.30pm with 1 hour break
Enhanced payments will be applicable for some shifts (eg. unsocial hours and weekends)
You will be expected to manage their workload during any shift period in a reliable and efficient manner. You must be flexible and able to multi-task in his/her contribution to delivering the work required in this post.
The hospital is a busy environment and the successful candidate should be able to remain calm and professional at all times.
Good communication skills are a must with clear English language skills.
Quick to learn new skills and systems.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:
- be welcoming, professional and kind
- give directions via phone or face to face
- answer telephone ,screening and transferring calls
- report faults and maintenance jobs to the helpdesks
- order stock
- order and maintain stationary and other items
- ensure reception is kept neat and tidy and welcoming environment for visitors to the service users, Staff, Contractors, Visitors, Carer's, Family members and Emergency services
- work as part of a team
- to relay confidential, sensitive information to colleagues and outside agencies, in person or on the telephone.
