Beech Ward is a 15-bed low-secure service for men with mental illnesses and a history of offending behaviour who are at significant risk of causing harm to others. It offers specialist psychological, psychiatric and behavioural therapies and complex specialist rehabilitation to help patients prepare for their return to life in society.
This role is the perfect opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse seeking a new challenge in a dynamic and rewarding environment where no two days are the same.

Main duties of the job
As our new Staff Nurse, you would be welcomed into a safe and supportive multidisciplinary staff team that would empower and encourage you to be the best version of yourself for the benefit of those we care for.
On a day-to-day basis, the role would involve assessing, planning and implementing evidence-based care, working as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team and as the named nurse for an identified group of service users.
The post-holder would also help run shifts and assist the Charge Nurse and Team Leader, supporting and acting as a positive role model to more junior members of the team. Working hours would involve shifts, including some nights, weekends and bank holidays.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to manage competing demands and organise their own work effectively. They must be non-judgemental, sensitive and calm, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They also need a good understanding of relational security and must be prepared to model and promote the Trust's values at all times.
