Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust

The closing date is 02 October 2024

Job summary

We currently have opportunities to join the Nursing Bank within Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT). In particular we are looking for temporary staff to work as and when required often at short notice at Band 3 level based at Astley Court, in Norfolk

Astley Court has been designed to ensure service users' privacy, dignity and comfort during treatment and provides 12 individual, en-suite rooms for them during their short stay of three to four months. The building has excellent access to outdoor areas. This includes separate gardens, an enclosed courtyard and a shared recreational garden space.

The service has dedicated resource rooms, separated from other areas, that enable personal and social development to support successful treatment and recovery. The communal space is open and airy with commissioned art installations that makes the area feel that it is not a traditional place of treatment. The innovative design features allow people who are very unwell to receive the care they need safely and therapeutically, whilst ensuring their dignity and respect are maintained

All roles on the bank are for as and when workers and therefore in particular may suit those already working part-time, with other commitments, or who want to work on a short-term basis.Applicants should have some experience of working in a healthcare setting particularly within mental health or learning disability services.

The post holder is required to carry out assigned tasks involving direct care in support of and under guidance of registered nurse or a more senior Health Care Assistant for all or most of the shift. To actively participate in promoting high standards of care within the philosophy of Person centred Planning.
