Job summary

The NHS Talking Therapies Service in East and North West Hertfordshire are looking to employ a full time Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner on a permanent basis to join the team in either Welwyn or Hemel Hempstead/St Albans. The role, working closely with the PWPs they supervise, plays a central role in ensuring our service is of the best quality, with the best outcomes for our service users.

Hertfordshire was one of the original 11 Pathfinder sites for the development of IAPT Services, commencing in 2007/8 and has since developed through 1st and 2nd wave expansion sites to provide a well -resourced and innovative IAPT service across the whole of the county. Our Trust has been awarded 'Outstanding' status by the Care quality Commission and our IAPT Service is APPS accredited.

Main duties of the job

This is a blended post with a weekly pattern of working two or three days on site, and some home working. A key part of the role will be to provide clinical supervision for PWPs within the service. The Senior PWP will work alongside the Talking Therapies Service Manager, Team Leaders and our other Senior PWPs and Senior Clinicians and will receive their own clinical supervision from the Deputy Clinical Lead within the team. There will be opportunities for ongoing professional development as well as the chance to contribute to further service development.You will be an experienced PWP with at least 1 year post qualification experience and with a recognized IAPT qualification in Step 2 intervention and will be registered or working towards PWP accreditation with the BABCP or BPS. The position provides an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced PWP to lead in the further development of the PWP role as the service grows and ensure our team of PWPs are supported and supervised effectively.
