Job summary

An exciting opportunity for the post of Support, Time & Recovery (STaR) Worker has become available in East South East Hertfordshire Adult Community Mental Health Services.

You will have experience of working in a community based setting. You will be responsible for providing care to clients living in the Community experiencing, or recovering from, mental health difficulties, specifically focusing on Recovery principles.

Where appropriate additional training will be provided.

You will provide direct support and advice to Service Users (Adults of all ages) and Carers, within the recovery framework, embracing the individual right to choice and control.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary Team, working in partnership with a range of stakeholders inside and outside of the Trust.

You will be required to demonstrate their knowledge of the relevant legislation, theory and policy in relation to the care group.

Main duties of the job

To work as part of a team which provides mental health services.To focus directly the on the needs of service users using the Support Time and Recovery Model.To work across service and/or care group boundaries as necessary.To work closely in association with the Team Leader, duty worker, other senior staff and other agencies.To work within the Care Programme Approach / Care Management process with a focus on Recovery Principles.To provide support, give time and thus promote recovery.To work with other providers to maximize service user participation in their local communityTo support our duty and initial Assessment Service.To undertake carers assessment and support of carers identified in the team.
