Pharmacy Technician (B4/5)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established and experienced Pharmacy team at HPFT. We are a small, closely knit team based in Radlett (near Watford) working in a newly designed award-winning building (with free parking).
We are looking for one motivated Pharmacy Technicians who are keen to expand their experience and are interested in working in a mental health and learning disabilities setting. This is a band 4 or a band 5 position,depending on relevant experience and qualifications. As a band 4 - training will be provided to help you progress to aband 5 level.
Main duties of the job
The candidate(s) will be expected to:
- The post holder will assist in the provision of a safe and efficient patient focused Pharmacy Service including the dispensing and issuing of prescriptions.
- The post holder will be working in patient facing areas as part of the pharmacy dispensary and clinical teams including the pharmacy goods in and distribution sections of pharmacy.
- To work under supervision with one of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician carrying out the required duties of a registered pharmacy technician.
- As a registered pharmacy technician to undertake day to day supervision of other pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants.
- To assist the Dispensary Manager to ensure all tasks in the pharmacy dispensary are completed as per objectives.
- To provide work within the wider healthcare team to provide comprehensive, optimised pharmaceutical services, taking into consideration the high level of security which must be always maintained.
- The post holder will provide straight forward advice to service users and carers on pharmaceutical products and further supplies.
