We are seeking a Locum Specialty Doctor in CAMHS (ADHD)

This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time specialty doctor to join HPFT. There is scope for specialty doctors who wish to be less than full-time.
We are looking for medical professionals who want to work in collaboration with our service users, carers and colleagues to provide the very best treatment and care. Professionals who want to develop and consolidate their clinical skills and competencies whilst working in a Trust with a patient-centred ethos and a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality education and training.
Main duties of the job
As a Locum Specialty Doctor, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team and other agencies as appropriate in providing a comprehensive tier 3+ CAMH service for the under 18 population.
The post holder will also work alongside the ADHD Specialist Consultant Psychiatrists in CAMHS setting.
You must ensure the relevant professional registration is maintained, including Section 12.

1. To work closely with the multidisciplinary team and other agencies asappropriate in providing a comprehensive tier 3+ CAMH service for theunder 18 population.2. To provide mental health assessments on both new referrals and opencases, and continuing treatment in drug or psychological therapies.3. To write letters and communications to General Medical practitionersand other professionals as required.4. To participate in various medical staff meetings within the HertfordshirePartnership NHS Trust as necessary.5. To participate in on-call rota for emergency assessments.6. To perform duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseencircumstances in consultation with senior and junior colleagues.7. To participate in regular Audit and Quality Assurance programmes toimprove and maintain the high standard of service.8. To contribute to or conduct research in clinical or service areas pertinent to the Trust and their own relevant experience. There is an active academicunit headed by Professor Hawley who currently holds a Chair at theUniversity of Hertfordshire.9. Provide liaison and consultation as required with the local acute paediatric services.
