Job summary
We are seeking to recruit a Team Leader to join the Adult Community Mental Health Service in South East Hertfordshire to lead the development of our integrated primary care mental health services. Our primary care services cover two primary care networks across Broxbourne. The area is well served with easy access to historic Hertfordshire and all of its beautiful towns and countryside as well as excellent transport links into London and beyond.
Main duties of the job
You will be an experienced Mental Health clinician (Registered Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist) with excellent assessment and risk management skills who is able to embrace and drive change and innovation.
You will work directly with the Service Manager and Matron who will provide support, development and direction and alongside other leadership colleagues.
You will know the importance of providing high quality supervision and of working together with staff and the wider management team in providing supportive, effective and coordinated leadership to the team in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for service users and carers.

- RMN/DipSW/CQSW/OT qualification.
- Evidence of current registration with NMC, GSCC or HCPC.
Desirable
- Cert or Dip. in management.

- Clear understanding of the needs of people with mental health difficulties
- Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation, theory and policies relating to mental health; such as Community Care Legislation, Mental Health Act, the Personalisation agenda, Social Inclusion etc.
- The ability to lead a multi-professional team and provide ongoing operational, clinical and professional supervision.
- The ability to assess complex needs and work effectively with service users, their carers and social networks
- Able to establish and maintain effective links with statutory and non-statutory partners.
- The ability to prioritise work and deliver to agreed time scales and standards.
- Excellent team working skills, with the ability to negotiate compromise and resolve conflict.
- Able to write structured, detailed and clear reports and record client information in accordance with statutory requirements and trust's guidelines.
- Have a clear understanding of the key strategic issues for mental health services.
- Commitment to working within equal opportunities and anti discriminatory practice.
- Ability to manage highly sensitive information
- Car driver (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 which prevents you from driving)
