Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Floating Mental Health Nurse to work within the HPFT Integrated Care Team across East & North Hertfordshire. This is a unique position for someone who enjoys teamwork, challenges and variety in their day to day work.

Main duties of the job

You will be working across different localities in East and North Hertfordshire supporting the locality community mental health nurses, mental health OT's and Psychology team. You will be working in primary care alongside community matrons, occupational therapists, physiotherapist, social workers, and other professionals.

You will work in partnership with other healthcare professionals and trusts. Essential

  • Computer literacy skills in order to enter data onto electronic client records
  • Car driver (unless you have disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 which prevents you from driving)
  • Aility to complete tasks associated with the job (subject to Occupational health)

Physical effort

  • Work will be undertkaen in office base, client homes and potentially some remote working
  • A high degree of travel is required

Experience

Essential

  • Knowledge of legislation related to mental health and social care (e.g. Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Care Act, Care Programme Approach etc)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
