We are seeking a Specialty Doctor in General Adult Community based in Ware.

Main duties of the job
As a Specialty Doctor you will provide diagnostic assessments and treatment to patients with severe, complex, and high-risk psychiatric conditions. Also, includes assessment and treatment of ADHD cases.
The Specialty Doctor post is regarded as a core part of the Clinical Team, providing continuity of care and medical back up on site. The post holder will have responsibility for providing a comprehensive range of services in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team to all patients being managed in the Team.
You must ensure the relevant professional registration is maintained.

Qualifications
Essential
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered medical practitioner with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Section 12 approval (or eligibility for Section 12 approval).
Desirable
- MRCPsych OR MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- A diploma in Psychiatry or MRCPsych or equivalent.
- Clinical experience in a range of services within General Adult Psychiatry.
- Interest in working towards AC status.
Clinical Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in General Adult Psychiatry with at least two years in an approved training scheme.
- Experience of working in community settings in General Adult Psychiatry.
- Ability to work well in Multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
- Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA.

- Clinical experience in a range of services within General Adult Psychiatry.
