Job summary

Worcestershire Royal Hospital Emergency Department are looking for a full time administrator tosupport the administration and coordination of training across the department, including core skills framework mandatory and regulatory training and other continued professional development.

Main duties of the job

To support all aspects of training coordination and planning, including maintenance of ESR to support Trust training compliance and to meet the requirements outlined in the Quality Improvement Plan.

To create and update electronic records for all members of staff within the department including medical, nursing and administration (approx. 170+) and monitor non-compliance by generating comprehensive reports.

Support the Professional Development Lead Nurse in planning and implementing action plans to ensure compliance with mandatory training and ESR.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to an academic Level 3 (e.g. A-Level, NVQ3,
  • OCR/RSA3, City and Guilds 3) in a Business Administration related subject.
  • Evidence of continuing professional and personal development

Desirable

  • Evidence of continuing education
  • NVQ Business Administration level 3 or willingness to achieve it
  • ILM Leadership Qualification

Experience

Essential

  • Current experience within an Emergency Department setting.
  • Significant recent Administrative/Secretarial experience (Usually
  • demonstrated by a minimum of 3 years experience)
  • Experience of change management and undertaking teaching and presentation
  • Ability to effectively lead change
  • Demonstrable and strong experience of administrative & secretarial work, managing a busy workload.
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Front line customer service experience.
  • Supervision/management of staff

  • Experience of working in NHS setting or similar large organisation
  • Experience of using computerised databases
