Join us for this Band 6 opportunity to play an integral part in supporting CT/MR services in Worcestershire for a fixed term of 12 months .
The county is a beautiful base with excellent links to the rest of the Midlands, Wales and the South West, its not as far as you may think! With our trust hospitals based in Redditch, Kidderminster and Worcester we offer a great mix of town and country life.
We are a progressive radiology dept with 7 trust wide Canon PRIME SP CT scanners with 1 CANON PRISM scanner, 2 Siemens 1.5T and a Philips 1.5T MR scanner.
We perform a wide variety of specialised imaging including Cardiac, Colon, interventional, perfusion CT and Breast. We provide CT and MR services for both acute and out patient referrals.
We are looking for individuals experienced in CT (preferably Canon). This will be the focus of the role. However if the successful applicant also demonstrates comprehensive MR experience then there may be the opportunity to support both CT and MRI services. The successful candidate will already possess the skills required to join the rota as a competent radiographer following a short period of induction . They may be required to work at any of the trust's 3 main sites (Kidderminster Treatment Centre, Alexandra and Worcester Royal Hospital) supporting the countywide roster.
Current shift patterns include a mix of long, short days and participation in the out of hours roster including night shifts.

- Deliver excellent patient care , maintain high safety standards
- Plan , prioritise and organise workload
- Maintain appropriate stock levels
- Adhere to infection control measures
- Actively involved in departmental audit
- Quality assurance, Quality improvement
- Demonstrate effective communication with all staff and departments
- Assist site lead to develop protocols and techniques
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures
- Train others and supervise junior members of staff
- contribute to extended day and out of hours rotas
- Vet referrals according to Scheme of Work in operation
- Contribute to learning by reporting incidents as per trust policy
- Participate in the modality CPD programme
