We are looking for a passionate individual with experience working as a senior therapy support worker and within speciality, to join our Integrated Therapy Team as a band 4 physiotherapy assistant practitioner.

This exciting role will work across the service supporting provision of therapy to stroke, complex care, neurology and oncology and haematology caseloads.

The role will require the successful applicant to work alongside the therapy team and independently, with a defined caseload, providing skilled therapeutic input to an in and outpatient caseload.

Ongoing integration work across the Therapy Service aims to develop the current physiotherapy and occupational therapy assistant workforce towards Integrated Therapy Support Worker roles across all bandings. Additionally, there is opportunity to work within hydrotherapy and gain experience of neurological outpatient services.

There will also be a role, alongside qualified therapists, supporting the wider support worker team with their development and provision of tailored intervention.

The post holder will be required to manage their time to ensure effective provision of input to their caseload and support for the wider team. They must have excellent communication skills and be able to appropriately and professionally liaise with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, patients and their support network and external agencies. The successful applicant must also be able to cope with the physical demands of moving and handling associated with therapeutic input to complex presentations and in line with guidance and training.

Weekend duties are to be undertaken as part of the 7-day stroke service on a rota basis.
