Job summary
We are looking for highly enthusiastic, skilled, caring and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who have a passion for womens health to join our team on the Emergency Gynaecology Assessment Unit and Gynaecology Inpatient Unit.
We provide a 24 hour emergency gynaecology service and admissions unit for emergency and elective admissions over seven days a week. We have a friendly and skilled nursing team working closely with the medics who will support you to provide a high standard of patient care.
This is an interesting, varied and emotionally demanding area of nursing which is hugely rewarding and we are keen to help you develop to your full potential in this appealing role. You will report to the registered nurses and will need excellent communication skills to engage with patients and colleagues at all levels. You will be encouraged to broaden your skills and knowledge within the field of gynaecology and early pregnancy.
We have a number of roles, full or part time. Day shifts are seven in the morning to seven thirty in the evening and vice versa on night shifts. There are more night shifts than day shifts due to our new staffing model.

Main duties of the job

The healthcare assistant will work as part of the nursing team supporting professionally qualified staff in providing quality care for patients in roles, which are mainly related to direct patient care.
Direct delivery of high-quality patient care ensuring that the dignity and privacy needs of patients are met.
Documentation of care provided using digital systems.
Overseeing of the maintenance of a clean, welcoming and therapeutic environment.
