Job summary
The post holder will be responsible for aspects of Building Services maintenance, mainly relating to fire safety. The post holder will also be required to undertake additional Authorised Person duties within the Trust and is expected to become qualified and appointed in both HTM specific disciplines and other Engineering disciplines.
Main duties of the job
Lead the Maintenance team, in a
way that achieves maximum flexibility and productivity for the Trust
Set and monitor the standards of
maintenance carried out by in-house staff or sub-contractors (on plant and
equipment managed by the estates department)
Manage site statutory and
mandatory requirements, in line with statute, best industry practice and any
other requirement of the Estates Department.
Ensure a robust planned
preventative and corrective maintenance system is in place to ensure the
efficient operation, compliance and integrity of the Estate
Maintain up to date asset
registers, PPM records and other applicable records
Ensure the standards found in
Health Technical Memorandums (HTMs) and other applicable documents are
understood and followed wherever possible
Contribute to the creation of
and implement departmental procedures and policies
Manage the devolved Maintenance
budget delivering best value / quality
Liaise and communicate with the
Capital developments department on all aspects of projects that have a site
estates department impact.
Ensure site Safe Systems of work
are in place, with adequate APs and CPs to manage the systems and all required
records are maintained in accordance with the relevant standards

Job Purpose:
