Job summary
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a senior nurse or midwife with neonatal experience to join our Governance and Training team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
The successful candidate will be motivated and enthusiastic, and will join our team as a Neonatal Governance Manager and will work closely with the Governance Lead for Maternity and Neonates and the other members of the Governance Team playing an integral part in supporting the system-wide perinatal quality and safety agenda.
We are looking for a compassionate and approachable nurse or midwife whose role will be to achieve consistency of practice, high standards of care and innovation with a strong patient safety focus. Engagement with staff is key, ensuring service changes are clearly communicated and embedded in practice.
Main duties of the job
You will play a pivotal role within the governance and training team, working closely with members of the multi-disciplinary team across the neonatal speciality as well as the maternity team and wider teams within the trust. You will take the lead on service and quality improvement in clinical governance and risk management, alongside the wider Governance Team within the Women's and Children's Division, to enable a joint focus on keeping women and babies safe and at the centre of the care provided.

- Graduate level of education and/or relevant professional qualification, or significant governance experience within the NHS.
- Evidence of continued learning or professional development.
- Teaching qualification or appropriate level of teaching/presentation experience.
- Active registration as a healthcare professional.

- Masters level qualification (or working towards same)
