Job summary
We are increasing the size of our our centralised Recruitment Team and so have some great opportunities for you to join us as a Recruitment Co-ordinator. This is a fixed term role for 7 months.
You will take on a key role in welcoming new starters to the Trust, producing offer letters on behalf of hiring managers and assisting new starters to complete their pre-employment checks (ID and Right to Work Checks as well as other NHS specific safer recruitment requirements).
You will have great customer service skills and attention to detail and using your previous administration experience to support the team and our candidates. You will need to be confident in using IT systems as many of the processes and completed online.
We offer a hybrid working model with a combination of office and home working.
Main duties of the job
The key purpose of the role is to deliver a customer focused recruitment service in line with NHS Employment Check standards, NHS requirements and Trust Policies.
To undertake transactional recruitment activities, ensuring that recruitment processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner. They must be completed in accordance with the relevant policies, and must comply with standard operating procedures, templates, checklists, processes and systems.

To provide an efficient administrative support service to allocated Divisions in the recruitment and selection of staff, in line with Trust policies and procedures and NHS Employment check standards.
To act as point of contact for allocated Divisions to oversee and understand the recruitment activity for those allocated Divisions and link with the Managers and the HR team to update on progress.
To work as a team with the Recruitment Lead, Recruitment Advisors and other Recruitment Coordinators to ensure that workload is prioritised effectively, ensuring that team objectives are met and vacancies are filled efficiently.
To administer the NHS Jobs system to advertise jobs in line with Trust Policy, including checking Job Descriptions and Person Specifications, placing adverts on NHS Jobs, setting up new users, setting up reviewer access, closing jobs, and archiving jobs.
To attend and support multiple Assessment Centres across the Trusts three hospital sites.
To ensure pre-employment checks are conducted in a timely manner and are compliant with NHS employment check standards and employment legislation.
To request and chase references for successful candidates and advise managers on the reference process.
To prepare personal files for new employees ensuring that all of the required documentation is completed.
To maintain the electronic Recruitment spreadsheets and take action to ensure that processes are being undertaken in line with recruitment timescales.
To give routine HR advice related to the Recruitment processes / identity checks.
To administer the electronic Disclosures and Barring Service System including setting up new users and answering queries.
To ensure that withdrawals of offers of posts are completed and documented in line with NHS mandatory employment check standards, NHSLA requirements and employment legislation working with the wider HR Team if support needed.
To identify posts suitable for redeployment that are received into the Recruitment Team, ensuring that these posts are held for redeployment.
To prepare and distribute Contracts of Employment for new employees within statutory timescales whilst ensuring accuracy of information.
To attend and support Recruitment Open Days - this may involve weekend working.
