Job summary

Applications are invited for 2 ENT Trust Clinical Fellow Posts, both of which are 6 month fixed term contracts.

The successful applicant will undertake ward rounds, deliver inpatient care, run emergency clinics, deal with emegerncy attendances to the Emergencyt Departemtn and particaipaie in the 1/6 on call rota.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Eligible for full GMC registration with Licence to Practise at the time of appointment.
  • MB ChB or equivalent.

Desirable

  • ALS Certification.
  • Postgraduate qualification.

Experience

Essential

  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required at FY2 level.
  • Ability to offer clinical opinion on range of problems both emergency and elective within specialty.
  • Ability to take responsibility for clinical care of patients.
  • Knowledge of subspecialties where specified.

Desirable

  • Experience of Audit.
  • Previous ENT experience.

Teaching Experience

Essential

  • - Ability to organise and deliver teaching across the whole undergraduate curriculum.
  • - Experience of medical teaching.

Desirable

  • - Experience of examining medical Undergraduates.

Personal Qualities

  • - Diplomatic and tactful.
  • - Flexible approach to work duties.
  • - Ability to work in a team.
  • - Ability to work under pressure.
