Job Summary

An exciting opportunity awaits you if you are a highly motivated, enthusiastic HCA with excellent communication skills. We want you to join our established team on Rowan Suite; you will have the opportunity to be part of this service and our innovative ways of working as we grasp this opportunity to influence, shape and develop the changing face of cancer care and service provision in our Trust.

The 14-chaired day unit cares for patients with a range of cancers who are receiving chemotherapy. We aim to provide an individualised and supportive environment for patients in which to deliver this specialised, high-standard care. HCA supports the whole team and patients within the unit, ensuring the unit runssmoothly and efficiently.

We also have up to seven clinics running from the Rowan suite. You will be there to support the Doctors by chaperoning and ensuring the doctors' rooms are clean, tidy, and equipped with all needed equipment.

All HCAs on Rowan have the chance to cannulate for specific treatments and take blood, and they also support patients with knowledge on how to care for PICC lines.

The Hca role is ever-growing and continuing to develop.
