Job summary
EPUT 'Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust' are recruiting for a Immunisation Healthcare Assistant to work within our Immunisation service covering South Mid Essex.
The service will primarily be delivered through a school based model, offering all school aged vaccinations including the intranasal flu vaccination.
We require flexible workers to cover Monday - Friday and occasional Saturday shifts.
This is a part-time post and therefore does not meet the Home Office's salary threshold for sponsorship. Any applications requiring a Certificate of Sponsorship will therefore be rejected.
Main duties of the job
The immunisation service in EPUT is recognised nationally for its innovative and creative service modelling. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality flexible services and are looking for like-minded people to join our teams.
You will be an experienced health care assistant with an NVQ level 3 in Health & Social care or equivalent. We will require you to have well developed communication and organisational skills and be able to work as part of a team and autonomously under direction.
The post holder must like children and have a compassionate manner when dealing with large groups of children and be able to work in a busy school setting and clinic environment.
You will be required to travel to local schools and clinics when on duty.

One such example of our collaborative work is our HCA Academy, an ICS initiative between Essex Partnership University Hospital Trust (EPUT) and Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust (MSEFT) which will model a one workforce cross system approach to the recruitment, education, and experience of Healthcare Assistants (HCA).
The successful candidate for this post will be required to attend ourone-week (5 days - Monday to Friday) face to face induction HCA Academy Induction Programme at our MSE ICB Education Hub at Brentwood Community Hospital, Crescent Dr, Shenfield, Brentwood CM15 8DR.
This will be followed by another 5 days Monday Friday EPUT corporate / mandatory training induction. EPUT induction will be varied between face to face and virtual delivery.
Our HCA Academy Induction programme has been designed to train and support the successful candidate through the early stages of their career and will provide opportunities to enhance skills, knowledge and experience. More information will be provided to the successful candidate.
