EPUT is looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Specialty Doctor who will provide clinical leadership and support to Willow ward and EIP service.
Willow ward isa 16-bed mixed ward for service users of adult working age. The ward provides inpatient psychiatric assessments, treatment and care to help reduce risk of harm to self and others. On the site, there is a male acute ward (Cedar ward). Cross-cover of SPA and other absences is provided from the consultants of these wards.
Main duties of the job
The post is a split post with 4 days on Willow ward and 1 Day support to early intervention in psychosis team. This supports experience for Specialty doctors who are planning to apply to Cesar as it has 1 day allocated to support the progression and development.
You should be eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold Section 12 (2) approval under the Mental Health Act 1983. You will also need to provide evidence of achievement of ST1/CT1 competences in psychiatry at time of application and likelihood of achieving CT2 competences in psychiatry by the start date of the post.
Rochford is a 35 minute train ride from central London.
