EPUT 'Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust' is looking for an immunisation nurse to join our Milton Keynes immunisation team for a 1 year fixed term post to cover maternity leave.

The service is primarily delivered through a school-based model, offering all school aged vaccinations. We continually strive to ensure every young person has the opportunity to receive their vaccinations and this is supported through the running of community based clinics and through call and recall.

We also offer vaccinations for the selective BCG & Hep B programmes through community based clinics.

We pride ourselves on delivering high quality flexible services and are looking for like-minded people to join our teams.EPUT offer a fantastic relocation package of up to £8,000. Covering a number of expenditures for new recruits relocating from 30 miles or more from their new work base at EPUT.

Main duties of the job

To deliver vaccinations in line with the UK National Childhood Immunisation schedule in a variety of settings across the BLMK locality.

You will be required to travel to schools and clinics across the locality when on duty.

You will be an RN/RMN/RSCN with an interest in children and a good working knowledge of the child health immunisation service. The post holder must like children and have a compassionate manner when dealing with large groups of children and be able to work in a busy school setting and clinic environment.

You will be required to support in the planning and delivery of health promotion and engaging with the local community and schools to help improve uptake of vaccinations in the area.
