  • Staff Nurse roles within EPUT are band 5 with a salary of £28,407 - £34,581 per annum and is dependent on experience. To be considered for this role you must have evidence of your NMC registration or training to become a qualified Mental Health Nurse.

  • Healthcare Assistant roles within EPUT are band 3 with a salary of £22,816 - £24,336 per annum and is dependent on experience.Regrettably, we cannot offer sponsorship for all of our job roles. If you attend our event and require sponsorship you will require a minimum of 2 years healthcare experience working permanently in the NHS or in a care home environment.

Main duties of the job

Staff Nurse

  • To work independently and accountably as part of a team of clinicians offering 24 hr mental health access and information in the locality of the Trust. The service will be 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for 365 days a year working shifts in an in-patient low secure forensic setting.

Healthcare Assistant

The post holder is responsible for reporting regularly to the qualified staff, working under supervision and reporting any relevant changes in the patient's condition and working environment.

The post holder is responsible for undertaking assigned tasks that involve direct patient care in the secure mental health inpatient settings. Patients, relatives, carers and other staff will find the post holder flexible, approachable and with a helpful disposition. The post involves supporting individual patients in all aspects of care, including daily living needs as is outlined in their care plan.

At Brockfield House we are a multi-disciplinary team that provides individualised care aimed at reducing risk, recovery and rehabilitation to prevent further offending. We work closely with external agencies such as MAPPA, Ministry of Justice, Parole Board, Probation Services and Border Force.

Aurora Ward - 12 bedded medium secure pre-discharge ward which provides a stepping stone to patients prior to discharge to the community. Our aim is to facilitate a smooth transition to the community and independent living.

Forest Ward - 15 bedded male adult medium secure rehabilitation ward, providing long-term intensive rehabilitation within a secure environment.
