Specialist Podiatrist

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved within a dynamic team of community podiatrists caring for patients in West Essex.

We are looking for an experienced, well-motivated, forward thinking and knowledgeable Podiatrist who is looking for the opportunity to demonstrate and further their clinical skills and join our friendly, progressive team.
You will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, have excellent clinical and communication skills which are essential as you will be providing a quality service to 'High Risk' patients in a variety of clinical settings .
Staff are well supported and need to be flexible to meet the needs of the service.
We have specialist clinics in Diabetes, Wound care, Nail Surgery and Musculoskeletal Podiatry .The post would provide opportunity to develop skills in all of these areas.
We also work closely with Podiatric Surgery ,Patient Appliances and Tissue Viability and have a Multidisciplinary Diabetic Foot Team based at Princess Alexandra Hospital .
The post holder will also have the opportunity to be involved in helping to further develop and influence the strategic direction of the service across the community.

Main duties of the job
To work as a specialist podiatrist within the team and ensure a high level of quality of patient care is delivered, using the most appropriate skills and techniques to improve and maintain the quality of life of patients with foot problems.
The role will involve assessing high risk new patients, ulcer clinics, nail surgery and some high risk domiciliary sessions.
