EPUT is currently developing a more comprehensive pathway for clients experiencing personality disorders. We are developing integrated interventions across community, primary care and secondary care services. This is a major transformation in service delivery and an exciting opportunity to join a progressing and developing service.
Main duties of the job
The Personality Disorder and Complex Needs Pathway is looking to recruit two Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists to join a team of dynamic and experienced clinicians who provide psychotherapy to clients on this pathway. This will include providing psychotherapy, assessment, consultation and treatment plans to clients who experience severe emotional disturbance often with a history of trauma and complex needs. The successful psychotherapy candidate will need to be able to work in a multidisciplinary setting and support colleagues across this pathway. There is a good skill mix across the pathway including psychology, OT, psycho-social nursing and CMHT support. The psychotherapy provision includes individual and group psychodynamic psychotherapy, art psychotherapy, Mentalization Based Therapy and systemic family therapy. The psychotherapy delivery is embedded in this pathway. The medical psychotherapist will be providing expert supervision; additional supervision for the specialism is supported.
