Job summary
EPUT is offering a fantastic opportunity in our Trust Secretary's Office. The role will be working with our Council of Governors and engaging with our diverse membership to support effective integrated governance.
The main duties and responsibilities will include coordinating Council of Governors meetings and developing reports for presentation. The individual will also develop and coordinate engagement with our wide membership database as well as members of the public. The individual must have excellent interpersonal skills and high attention to detail.
The individual will also need to have experience in preparing and coordinating papers, presentations and agendas for meetings as well as attending and minuting meetings as required. This may also include following-up key action points with different members across the organisation.
Main duties of the job
- The Co-ordinator supports the Trust Secretary's Office (TSO) with supporting the Board of Directors, Council of Governors and membership engagement, in the provision of effective integrated governance arrangements.
- The post holder will provide assistance to the TSO on a wide range of corporate governance tasks and, will play a key role in the team that forms a link between Governors and the Trust.
- The post holder supports the effective organisation of the Council of Governors and membership engagement including undertaking the highest quality minute taking, as required as required for legal and official purposes, the management of the forward planner, papers, agendas, follow up actions and statutory and mandatory board registers.
The post holder will assume responsibility for legal queries that are appropriate for the TSO and ensure that these are escalated to the Trust's legal advisers if required.
