Job summary

We have two vacancies working across Colchester or Tendring - both will be hosted by EPUT.The post holder will be a dynamic and motivated individual, with specialist knowledge of the north east Essex geography and will work closely with stakeholders to support the cultural and operational requirements of the Live Well Neighbourhood Programme. Understanding the way in which partners work together and having the supportive, influential and leadership skills to help them work together is essential.

The Neighbourhoods Programme supports people to live well in north east Essex by bringing voluntary, community and public sector organisations together, to work as integrated Live Well Neighbourhood Teams (LNT's). The Live Well Neighbourhood Team (LNT) promotes integrated health & wellbeing services, tackles health inequalities and addresses the wider determinants of health.

The Neighbourhood Manager roles may involve sending and receiving highly sensitive and complex reports involving various organisations. The post holder will be expected to function in an autonomous and authoritative manner, that will require decisions being made on behalf of the organisation, and sometimes the Integrated Care Board (ICB).

The post holder will be responsible for the implementation and evaluation of the allocated neighbourhoods within their place base portfolio, working with population health leads to support the reduction in health inequalities and the community to thrive and live well.

The role will support the citizen's voice and deliver objectives specific to the needs of the neighbourhoods, working alongside the Live Well Domain Leads and clinical Primary Care Networks (PCN's).

Main duties of the job

  1. Create, mobilise, develop and lead the Live Well Neighbourhood Teams (LNT's) across Colchester or Tendring, to deliver the programmes priorities and wider strategic priorities.
  2. Be able to interpret and operationalise complex plans, working across multiple organisations with competing demands and priorities.
  3. Be responsible for developing and delivering the objectives of the Alliance Delivery Plan at place, alongside other local policies, and implement these by working collaboratively with system partners and senior leaders.
  4. Manage future budgets and provide regular financial forecasts and reports.
  5. Ensure governance processes are followed to enable integrated working.
  6. Ensure the principles of Asset Based Community Development are adopted and embedded within the LNT's.
  7. Review and interpret complex data and population health management data, to support the identification of neighbourhood priorities, and identify opportunities to improve outcomes for the defined populations.
  8. Provide and receive highly complex, sensitive or contentious information and present this to groups and senior leaders.
  9. Liaise and collaborate with Integrated Care Board (ICB) partners on a number of projects which will require specialist negotiating skills.
