Band 5 Mental Health Practitioner

Main duties of the job

As part of the transformation within EPUT and to further develop the service, an opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health Practitioner.

As a Mental Health Practitioner you will be a member of the MDT in a fast pace community urgent care pathway offering a community response to those experiencing a mental health crisis.

You will have the responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and management of lower banded staff within your professional group and team locality.

You will work collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, carers, clinicians and other practitioners to provide a 7 day a week, 24 hours a day service, 365 days a year, working shifts were appropriate and operationally required.

Important Notice: Recently the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021 (the Regulations) which amended on 22 July 2021 and come into force on 11 November 2021 that anyone directly employed to work in a Care Home or who are required as part of their role to be deployed to a CQC registered care home are required to have had both their COVID vaccinations, unless they are exempt. This is therefore a requirement of this role and will form part of our pre-employment checks

This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (minimum of £971 and a maximum of £1,682 per annum).
